The Oneplus 7 pro is the newly announced flagship of Oneplus. The 7 pro is a wonderful device that goes head to head with different flagship phones that are way more expensive than it.
The 7 pro has many drastic changes compared to the previous generation, some of them are good while some are bad. The most notable change compared to any previous Oneplus is the display, it houses a 6.67 inch 90Hz 1440p display with curved edges.
Some of the other changes includes triple camera, a pop up selfie camera, and dual speakers. The camera unit has a 48MP camera combined with a telephoto lens and a wide angle lens to give really detailed and rich photos but comparing it with other flagships it is still behind the likes of the S10 and pixels in terms of picture quality.
The new pop-up camera is a 16MP sensor and Oneplus has shown that the 7 pro can save its pop-up camera if it enters free-fall and also the durability has been tested.
This year Oneplus increased the battery capacity to 4000 mAh and included better warp charging. The screen being a 90HZ 1440p screen the battery drain was quiet significant as a result the battery life wasn’t so good and didn’t last according to expectations. The new warp charge also charges the phone to 50% in around 20 minutes.
There are also many minor improvements compared to the previous gen. The fingerprint sensor is much faster and improved than last year. There are also dual speakers but the sound quality still seems a bit lacking compared to other flagships. There is still no wireless charging though.
Overall despite having few flaws, the 7 pro is an excellent device for a price of $669. It’s servers as a tough competitor to all the big names in the smartphone market and delivers a great phone at a great price.
